New Garages | Garage ConstructionGarages / Metal Buildings

Garages have to be one of our favorite types of buildings because we hear things from customers like:

“Finally I won’t have to scrape ice off my windshield any more!”

“I can get out of my car with groceries in the rain!”

When we build your garage, we start with a properly compacted soil… usually we aim for 95% soil density/compaction so the concrete does not crack. In fact, all the slabs we have gone back to inspect over the years have shown no random cracks anywhere. Some were over twenty years old!

From there, we have usually one row of cement blocks in order to keep the wood walls from coming into contact with rain or moist conditions so as not to allow the lumber to absorb and rot. Then, we use a water proof under-layment that has a 10 year non-prorated labor and material warranty against water penetration. The warranty includes replacing anything damaged by some failure. For a residential structure, there is no monetary limit. However, on commercial structures, there is a $100,000 dollar limit for damages. The actual garage structure is then built. Next, we install your siding. In Jackson, the favorite seems to be vinyl… with our life time warranty.

Metal/Steel Buildings

Metal or steel buildings are an excellent way to expand your storage areas or accommodate your business. They can be used as storage facilities, barns, garages, offices, or as multi-use facilities. They can be used in industrial, commercial, and residential properties. Metal building construction is usually less expensive but very versatile, easy to maintain, and easy to expand if the need should arise. Kwaske Construction is skilled in assembling and erecting metal buildings for a variety of uses. From setting the foundation to putting up the roof or installing doors and windows, we have the experience and honest communication you need to see your steel structure become a reality, and all within budget. Please call us for an honest conversation about your steel building desires.
